The number of Australians studying abroad in the US is rising, while the number of Americans studying abroad in Australia has declined.

The US is the most popular destination for outbound Australian students, ahead of the UK, China, and Canada. Australia is the 8th most popular destination for US students abroad, and second only to China in the Asia Pacific.
